Corporate Projects
Corporate Social Responsibility is making its way to the top of the agenda in many large corporations, with many businesses recognising the requirement for them to play their part in 'doing the right thing' and being responsible in the way in which they manage their own recycling programme and set out their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
To assist these companies we offer a number of ways to enable them to be 'green' by providing tailor made solutions. Each business is different and requires an individual approach, as such we have had success with a variety of services.
- Uniform disposal scheme For companies who supply their staff with uniform, we have a very successful disposal programme in place which enables the company and staff to dispose of their unwanted clothing. Whether it is a complete uniform revamp or annual renewals, we take their old uniform and make sure it is recycled or reused ethically.
- On site clothing 'bins' This is a very easy way in which companies can assist, by simply placing a small 'textile disposal bin' on site where staff can drop off their unwanted textiles. Maintained and regularly emptied by LCRSL staff, this is a no hassle option. Certainly in larger firms this has proven to be a successful route to encourage recycling.
- Donation week A 'donation week' can be a great way to raise awareness and kick start a recycling campaign being introduced to staff. 'Closet clearout' and 'Clothes amnesty's' are just a few of the titles we've seen used to launch a donation week where staff are asked to bring in a couple of items of unwanted clothing to be recycled and help raise money for charity. Often we then place a 'textile disposal bin' for staff to donate ongoing.
It doesn't take much to recycle, small steps a little thought but no big effort, and for those businesses that are willing to take their corporate social responsibilities more seriously, we can help.
